Founded in May 2014, Altunlay Constructions & Development began as a bold vision shared by two determined and forward-thinking individuals — Mr. Nikolai Boris and Mr. Vidadi Gudrat. Their shared passion for innovation, integrity, and architectural excellence laid the cornerstone of what would soon become one of Baku’s most trusted and dynamic construction firms.

What started as a small-scale operation with a commitment to quality craftsmanship has evolved into a multidisciplinary construction and development company delivering landmark projects across Azerbaijan’s residential, commercial, public, and industrial sectors.

Early Years

In our early years, Altunlay focused on small residential and private projects, building a reputation for dependability and unmatched finishing quality. Our attention to detail and ethical project delivery quickly gained the attention of larger clients and institutional partners.

Through strong word-of-mouth and consistent performance, the company secured its first government contract, marking the beginning of a significant expansion into infrastructure and civic development.

Founders' Biographies

Mr. Nikolai Boris

Co-Founder & Technical Director

With a background in civil engineering and over 15 years of experience in project execution, Mr. Nikolai brings technical leadership to Altunlay’s operations. His deep knowledge of structural systems, site logistics, and modern machinery has been instrumental in growing the company’s infrastructure division.

Nikolai is known for his precision-driven mindset, hands-on approach, and ability to manage large-scale construction with unwavering quality standards.

Mr. Vidadi Gudrat

Co-Founder & Managing Director

Mr. Vidadi is a strategic planner and operations leader who manages client relations, business development, and corporate direction. With a strong foundation in architectural design and project finance, he ensures that every Altunlay project is delivered not just efficiently, but with exceptional visual and functional outcomes.

Vidadi is also known for his strong community connections and commitment to mentoring young talent within the company.

2014 – Foundation Year

2021 – Heavy Equipment & Infrastructure Focus

  • Added excavators, cranes, mixers, and site vehicles to fleet
  • Began road and drainage infrastructure projects
  • Partnered with logistics zones and developers for civil works

2023 – Terrazzo, Mosaic & Decorative Surface Services

  • Introduced high-end terrazzo and mosaic flooring services
  • Worked on hospitality interiors and hotel lobbies
